“Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.” (Matthew 4:4, NKJV)

This 90-day Chronological Bible Reading Plan is a great way to read through the entire Bible in three months, from Genesis to Revelation. It’s a wonderful challenge and a habit that can change your life.

As Christians, we need to be in God’s Word every day. The Bible is God’s communication to us. As 2 Timothy 3:16-17 says, “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

Here are some helpful tips to make the most of this plan:

• Start with prayer ~ Ask the Holy Spirit to speak to you. The Lord’s Prayer in Matthew 6:9-13 is a great way to begin.
• Set aside time ~ It usually takes 45 minutes to an hour each day. Spread it out if needed.
• Read and meditate ~ This plan is mainly for reading and soaking in the Word. Don’t try to study everything deeply at once.
• Take notes ~ Have a pen and paper or a wide-margin Bible ready. Underline or write down anything you don’t understand and come back to it later.
• Track your progress ~ Tick or highlight each day’s reading. It’s motivating to see how far you’ve come.
• Repeat the blessing ~ If you follow this plan, you can read through the whole Bible four times a year!

I have dyslexia, and I’ve found that reading the Bible in shorter, repeated patterns really helps me retain God’s Word.

The chronological order also makes it easier to follow the story of the Bible and find books more quickly.

After reading, take time to pray and thank God for what He has spoken to you.
