The news of the poisoning of former Russian double agent Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia in Salisbury has shocked many people. It is a very serious and worrying situation.

We pray for the full recovery of Sergei and Yulia, and for comfort for their family. Situations like this remind us how fragile life is and how much evil is at work in our world.

As Christians, we are called to pray for peace, for justice, and for the protection of innocent lives. We also pray that in the middle of such darkness, people would turn to the only One who can give real peace and eternal security, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Let’s remember the words of Scripture:

“Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” (Romans 12:21, NKJV)

May the Lord bring good out of this difficult situation and draw many hearts closer to Him in these uncertain times.
