Latest Update on the Free Grace Church in Kirkmichael

Hello, it’s been a while since I posted here, and it’s been a difficult few weeks in many ways.

It’s been quite a while since I first wrote about this back in 2010. The Lord has been so good to us through some very difficult days. We still have a deep burden to plant a simple Bible-believing church in the Kirkmichael area, a place where we can teach the Word of God verse by verse and share the good news of God’s free grace.

Back then, God opened a door for us at the Kirkmichael Centre on Townhead Road. We were excited to start meetings, but first we needed to get the right policies in place to care for everyone properly. That took time.

At the same time, our family went through some heavy trials. Our son Rodrick was diagnosed with Autism. We kind of knew, but hearing it from the doctors was hard. My wife Debbie and I leaned on the Lord to be strong for him and our other boys, Jacob and Ben. Jacob has faced some real struggles too. These things put a lot of pressure on our whole family.

But you know, the Lord is faithful. His grace really is sufficient. As the Bible says in 2 Corinthians 12:9 (NKJV): “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.”

We’re not perfect people, just folks who love Jesus and want to serve Him. Family is important, and we’re trusting God to take care of us as we move forward.

Our heart is simple: We want to love God, teach His Word, and reach people with the Gospel. Jesus died for our sins, He was buried, and He rose again. Whoever believes in Him has everlasting life. It’s a free gift, by grace through faith, not of works (Ephesians 2:8-9).

We’re still praying and walking the streets of Kirkmichael, looking for opportunities to share Christ with the people we meet. If you’re in the area and looking for fellowship, or if the Lord is calling you to help with this work, please get in touch through the website.

Would you pray with us? Pray for our family, for open doors, and for the Lord to raise up a little fellowship here that honours Him.

The Lord is building His church, and we’re just happy to be a part of it. Let’s keep our eyes on Jesus. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

God bless you,

Peter
