At Born Again Christians, we’re all about Jesus and the truth of His Word. Here’s what we hold close to our hearts:

The Heart of Our Faith: GRACE

God’s grace is everything to us ~ it’s how we’re saved and live. We sum it up like this:

G – God’s Grace Provides
God loved us first and gave us Jesus to save us. His grace is the start of it all, free for everyone.
“God’s grace has shown up, bringing salvation for all of us.” (Titus 2:11)
“Even when we were messed up, God sent Christ to die for us.” (Romans 5:8)

R – Redemption Offered Freely
Jesus took our sins on the cross; that gift is for you, me, and the whole world. No one’s left out of God’s plan.
“God’s patient, not wanting any of us to miss out.” (2 Peter 3:9)
“Jesus took care of our sins ~ and the whole world’s.” (1 John 2:2)

A – Available to All
Salvation isn’t just for some ~ it’s for anybody who hears the good news. God’s love reaches everyone.
“God loved the whole world so much He gave His Son.” (John 3:16)
“God wants all of us saved.” (1 Timothy 2:4)

C – Choice to Believe
God has done His part, and now He invites us to trust Him. Say yes to Jesus, and you’ll be saved ~ it’s that simple.
“Say ‘Jesus is Lord’ and believe He rose again ~ that’s how you’re saved.” (Romans 10:9)
“To everyone who believes, He makes us God’s kids.” (John 1:12)

E – Established in Grace
Once you’re His, you’re His forever. God’s grace keeps you safe ~ no one can take you away from Him.
“They’ll never perish, and no one can snatch them from Me or My Father.” (John 10:28-29)
“God’s foundation is solid, and He knows who’s His.” (2 Timothy 2:19)

This is our heartbeat: we’re saved by grace through faith in Jesus alone, not by works (Ephesians 2:8-9). It’s all God’s gift; once you’ve got it, you’re secure in Him (Romans 8:38-39).

Core Truths We Stand On

Beyond “GRACE” here’s what shapes us:

  1. The Holy Scripture
We believe the Bible, Old and New Testaments, is God’s very Word, straight from Him, perfect in every part. It has no mistakes and has everything we need to know Him and live for Him. It’s our only sure guide for what we believe and do.
“All scripture is God-breathed and useful for teaching… and training in righteousness.” (2 Timothy 3:16)
“Men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.” (2 Peter 1:21)
  2. The One True God
We believe in one God ~ real, all-powerful, and personal. He’s perfect, infinite, and eternal in His holiness, love, wisdom, and might. He made the world and stands above it, yet He’s right with us, holding everything together. He shows Himself as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit ~ three distinct persons, united as one, each with a unique role in loving and saving us.
“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” (Genesis 1:1)
“The Lord our God is one Lord.” (Deuteronomy 6:4)
  3. The Lord Jesus Christ
Jesus is the second Person of the Triune God, the eternal Word and God’s only Son. Fully God, He became fully man through the miracle of the virgin birth ~ still one Person, with two natures forever. He faced every temptation we do, yet He stayed sinless. As the perfect Lamb of God, He died on the cross, taking all our sins and God’s wrath in our place. He rose from the grave in a glorified body and ascended to heaven, where He stands before God as our High Priest, praying for us always.
“The Word was God… and became flesh and dwelt among us.” (John 1:1, 14)
“He was tempted like us, yet without sin… our High Priest.” (Hebrews 4:15)
  4. The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is God, the third Person of the Trinity, working in everything ~ creation, showing us God’s truth, and saving us. He wakes us up to our sin, makes us new when we trust Jesus, and lives in us, sealing us as God’s own. He gives us power, guides us, teaches us, and makes us more like Jesus every day we say yes to Him. We see His fullness when we boldly tell others about Jesus, our Savior.
“You’ll receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you, and you’ll be My witnesses.” (Acts 1:8)
“The Spirit lives in you, and you’re God’s temple.” (1 Corinthians 3:16)
  5. Baptism and the Lord’s Supper
We believe Jesus gave us two unique acts for His church: baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Baptism is for believers, dunking us in water to show Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection. It’s a picture of what He did, not what saves us. The Lord’s Supper is when we take the bread and cup, remembering His broken body and shed blood until He returns.
“We’re baptized into His death and raised to new life.” (Romans 6:3-4)
“Do this in remembrance of Me.” (1 Corinthians 11:24-25)
  6. Separation from the World
We believe God calls us ~ His family ~ to live differently, set apart from the world’s ways. That means saying no to sin, false teachings, compromise, and anything that pulls us from Him, like immodest clothes, drugs, or music that dishonours God. We stand firm together on His truth, not bending to fit in or stay neutral.
“Come out from them and be separate, says the Lord.” (2 Corinthians 6:17)
“Don’t love the world or anything in it… the world’s ways pass away.” (1 John 2:15-17)
  7. The Second Coming of Christ
We believe Jesus is coming back ~ first in the air to rapture His church, our blessed hope, always near. He’ll raise the dead in Christ and take the living believers with Him. Then, He’ll pour out His righteous judgment on the unbelieving world during the tribulation. Afterwards, He’ll return with His church to set up His glorious, literal kingdom over all nations for a thousand years.
“The Lord will come down… and we’ll be caught up to meet Him in the air.” (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)
“He’ll reign for a thousand years, and Satan will be bound.” (Revelation 20:1-6)

What We Don’t Believe

  • Salvation comes any way but grace through faith in Jesus.
  • Mary or anyone else shares Jesus’ role as our Savior.
  • Women can’t serve as pastors, as we believe scripture reserves this role for men.
  • Wicca, New Age, or works-based ideas have any place in God’s truth.

We’re here to know Jesus, grow in Him, and share His love ~ plain and simple (John 4:23; Colossians 3:16).
