On Sunday the 23rd of April 2023 the UK government will send out a test alert for life threatening emergencies.

I am not sure why the government needs to overreach in this way as we haven’t needed to be alerted this way for severe flooding, fires, or extreme weather events here in the UK.

Having a good news media service and most people are connected to some type of social media or even find about extreme events through word of mouth by going to the shops or meeting friends etc.

What the UK government are doing is invading our privacy and using our phones and devices to control what information goes out to us.

I know the government deeply uses surveillance to spy on us, if we say a keyword in a text or say over a phone call, I’m sure powerful computers will pick these up and hand them over to security organisations to see if is harmful or not.

What happens when we swipe the message away or press ok if you received the alert, could you get malicious spyware planted on your phone? I do not trust our government not to do this, with their lies and manipulation through the pandemic we had for 2 years.

I have heard people in vulnerable situations such as domestic abuse victims are advised to turn off phones for UK emergency alert tests.

Also, this alarm could trigger someone on the autism spectrum or a learning disability, causing an unnecessary meltdown or deep worry.

With this I was reading Romans 13: 1-7 and 1 Peter 2:13-17 where it speaks of submitting to governments, even if they are corrupt against God’s aspirations for them.

But our government are overstepping Christian values as we spend the most important day of the week ‘Sunday’ where we go to church and worship God.

As it says in “Act 5:29 KJV Then Peter and the [other] apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.” In the verses before the authorities commanded the Apostles them not to teach in this name. JESUS!

As the alarm goes of at 3pm we are in the middle of our church service which starts at 2pm, the pastor will be preaching Jesus and this minor disruption won’t cause much trouble, but I know some in the service will be unnecessary be upset having autism or with a learning disability.

Welcome to BAC

Joomla In August of 2003 an MSN web group was created called Born Again Christians. As numbers rapidly rose it became apparent that there was a need for a website that would reach a wider number of people.

Our goal, by God’s grace, is to love God with all our heart, soul, and mind and to demonstrate that love by obeying His Word.

Our passion is the preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the teaching of the Word of God verse by verse with expository sermons.
