A Shepherd’s Warning
Folks, as I sit here in Scotland, my heart’s heavy—maybe yours is too. I’m just a simple believer, leaning on the Bible, but God’s Word is clear as day: “Test all things; hold fast what is good” (1 Thessalonians 5:21, NKJV). Today, we’re testing something big—the BritCard digital ID, pushed by Keir Starmer’s Labour government, announced this week.
It’s sold as a fix for illegal migration, a “modern” app to verify jobs, but when you peel back the layers, it smells like control—Fabian-style, Blair-backed, and eerily close to Revelation 13’s mark of the beast. Let’s walk through this together, like we’re in a Bible study, and see what God’s saying.
What’s the BritCard Really About?
This isn’t just an ID, it’s a mandatory phone app for every working adult by 2029. No app, no job. Labour’s Lisa Nandy squirmed on BBC Breakfast, calling it “optional” but admitting you’ll “have a problem” getting work without it. Sound familiar? Revelation 13:17 (NKJV) warns: “No one may buy or sell except one who has the mark.” Now, I’m not saying this is the mark, I say to stay grounded, but it’s conditioning us for something close.
Mike Godfrey, a former hacker on Times Radio, called it a “malicious app,” sucking up your location, photos, even banking data, with no way to lock it down. Carl Vernon, a bold voice on YouTube, says it’s the “final nail in freedom’s coffin.” Over 2.3 million Brits have signed a petition against it ~ Scotland’s own John Swinney calls it “ludicrous.”
The Fabian and Blair Connection: A Slow Burn to Control
Fabian Society Milestones and Labour Impact Table shows how Fabians have steered Labour for over a century, setting the stage for today’s control.
Year | Fabian Milestone | Impact on Labour |
1884 | Founded | Pushes “permeation” strategy—slowly influencing elites for socialism. |
1900 | Helps found Labour Party | Merges socialist groups; Keir Hardie, a Fabian, becomes Labour’s first leader. |
1945 | Post-WWII Reforms | Shapes Clement Attlee’s NHS and welfare state policies. |
1997 | New Labour | Tony Blair’s “Third Way” blends Fabian ideas with modern politics. |
2020s | Starmer Era | Over 50% of Keir Starmer’s Cabinet are Fabians; shapes 2024 manifesto. |
Behind this is the Fabian Society ~ Starmer and half his Cabinet are members, pushing gradual socialism since 1884. Their motto? Change by stealth. The Folks, behind this BritCard push is Tony Blair’s Institute, waving a report that claims 62% of Brits want a ‘super ID’ to track it all ~ voting, council services, you name it. Blair’s son, Euan, runs a tech company called Multiverse, pocketing £4.2 million in government contracts for systems tied to digital IDs.
As a believer, this feels like Revelation 18:11-13 (NKJV), where merchants grow rich off a system that binds the poor, the vulnerable, even folks like me, with adult children with disabilities, this app’s digital demands could shut them out, where’s the justice in that (Micah 6:8)?
A Biblical Lens: Is This the False Prophet’s Tool?
Now, let’s get to the Word. Revelation 13:11-15 describes the false prophet, deceiving with signs to enforce the beast’s mark ~ a system locking out anyone who won’t bow. BritCard’s not there yet ~ no Antichrist, no worship demand ~ but it’s paving the road.
Godfrey warns it’s a “gold mine for hackers,” even governments, with 70% of gov’t apps overreaching (location, camera, your kids’ photos). Nandy’s “it protects jobs” line? That’s the false prophet’s smooth talk—peace when there’s none (1 Thessalonians 5:3). As believers, we’re called to discern: “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God” (1 John 4:1, NKJV). This app feels like a test run for control, not freedom.
What’s a Believer to Do?
I say: Be bold, stand firm, pray hard, love well. Here’s how we move forward, brothers and sisters:
- Pray: Psalm 91 for protection; Ephesians 6:12 for the real battle—spiritual, not just political.
- Expose: Share this at church.
- Act: Sign the petition at petition.parliament.uk/petitions/730194. Write your MP—mention Scotland’s resistance.
- Trust: “Do not put your trust in princes” (Psalm 146:3, NKJV). God’s got us, even if the app locks us out.
Closing: Hold Fast to Jesus
Peter here, just a guy leaning on Jesus through my struggles. This BritCard’s a wake-up call ~ maybe a birth pain (Matthew 24:8). It’s not time to panic, but to prepare, like the wise virgins with oil ready (Matthew 25:1-13).
Let’s pray for Starmer, Nandy, even Blair (1 Timothy 2:1-2), but resist what’s not of God (Acts 5:29).
At bornagainchristians.org, we’re standing for truth in Scotland, the UK and the World.
Join us ~ read and study Revelation 13, pray, and let’s shine His light together.
