Cafe Outreach at the Kirkmichael Centre

Hello, my friends.

I had a really good time at the cafe outreach held at the Kirkmichael Centre. It was run by Park Church of Scotland, and it’s a wonderful way to get to know the people on the estate. They also help with a second-hand shop run by the Beacon Trust. These simple things are great tools to build relationships and show the love of Jesus in practical ways.

As I walk around the estate, my heart feels heavy. There’s a real spiritual deadness here. It reminds me how much we need to pray, and even fast, for God to break through. Only the Holy Spirit can bring real life and change.

I’m also asking the Lord for wisdom about our church plant at the centre. I don’t want to interfere with the good work Park Church is already doing. We need to be careful not to overwhelm the people. If too many of us start knocking on doors, folks might get tired of it. I believe it’s important to have a Sunday meeting, and I’m also praying for a way to reach into the Churchill estate.

If you found this page on Google, the cafe runs every Friday from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm. Come along if you can, it’s a friendly place to meet people and enjoy a cup of tea.

Would you pray with us? Pray for the people of Kirkmichael, for unity among the churches, and for the Lord to open doors for the Gospel. Jesus is still the answer for every heart and every home.

Let’s trust Him to do what only He can do.

God bless you, Peter
