Hello, my friends.

What sad but joyful news, Billy Graham, the great evangelist, has gone home to be with the Lord at the wonderful age of 99.

I grew up listening to his sermons, mostly as a child before and after I came to the Lord. Late at night I would tune in to Hour of Decision on the radio (I think it was Trans World Radio).

The reception was often poor with lots of static and beeps, but I managed to hear enough of God’s Word to quench my spiritual thirst. Sunday nights when Billy preached were special — they drew me closer to Jesus.

My wife Debbie also heard Billy as a child at one of his crusades. She wasn’t converted then, but a seed was planted.

Later the Holy Spirit used that to bring her to saving faith in Christ.

I can’t wait to meet Billy in heaven one day. I almost feel envious that he is now in the presence of the Lord he loved and served so faithfully.

I’m praying about putting together a group study guide based on his book How to Be Born Again. It would be great to use with individuals or small groups.

Thank you, Lord, for the life and ministry of Billy Graham. May many more souls come to Christ because of the faithful sowing of the Gospel he did for so many decades.
