Hello, my friends.
It was such sad news when we heard that the talented actor and comedian Robin Williams had taken his own life. He brought so much laughter to millions of people around the world, yet behind the smiles he was clearly fighting deep pain.
I understand something of that darkness. I have struggled with depression myself, and at times the thoughts of ending it all were very heavy. I believe sometimes the medication even made those thoughts worse.
We don’t know exactly where Robin stood with the Lord, but we do know this: God loved him. Jesus came to seek and to save the lost. If Robin had trusted Christ as his Saviour, then he is with the Lord now. Even in our worst moments, God’s grace is greater than our failure. Suicide is not the unpardonable sin.
My heart goes out to his family and close friends who are left behind with such deep hurt and sorrow. May the Lord comfort them in these painful days.
If you are struggling with depression or thoughts of suicide, please know there is hope.
Jesus cares for you. Reach out to someone, a friend, a pastor, or a helpline. You are not alone.
“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit” (Psalm 34:18, NKJV).
Let’s pray for all those who battle with depression and mental pain. May many find true peace and lasting joy in Jesus Christ.
God bless you, Peter

Only the Lord gives life, and only the Lord can take life away.
Job 1:21.
Christians today are just as caught up with fame and fortune as the world, and believe that riches mean that one is “blessed” and has favor with God. On the contrary, gain is not Godliness, but Godliness with contentment is great gain.
1st Timothy 6:5-6.
