Hope Rose from the Ashes – The Utah Valley Crusade
10 September 2025, Charlie Kirk was murdered on the campus of Utah Valley University. A single bullet silenced a 31-year-old voice that loved Jesus and loved America. Sixty-seven days later, on Sunday 16 November 2025, the same courtyard was packed again… this time with 5,000 people singing “Holy Forever” at the top of their lungs. That night was the Hope for America Crusade with Greg Laurie, Chris Tomlin, and Phil Wickham. And what the devil meant for evil, God turned into one of the most powerful gospel meetings I’ve ever watched.
Here’s what happened: The worship was electric.
Tomlin and Wickham performed the songs the younger generation already know by heart – “Our God,” “Battle Belongs,” “House of the Lord.” Teens and twenty-somethings who grew up with these tunes were now raising holy hands at the very spot where blood had been shed. That, brothers and sisters, is redemption in real time. Greg Laurie delivered “Home Before Dark” directly from Luke 15 – the story of the Prodigal Son. He intertwined his own pain (losing his son Christopher) and Charlie Kirk’s favourite verse: “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God…” (Romans 8:28 NKJV).
Greg looked at the crowd directly and said, “Don’t wait until your heart becomes hard like concrete. Come home tonight.” When he extended the invitation, over 2,100 people accepted Jesus, many of whom were students who pass by that campus daily. Hundreds more joined online. This was a moment of beauty rising from ashes, right there in Orem, Utah.
I sat in a dreich Scottish living room watching it live, fighting back tears. Because I saw the same thing I’ve seen for years, watching online at Calvary Chapel and Harvest meetings: Worship softens the ground, the Word does the planting, the Spirit brings the harvest. Charlie Kirk is home with the Lord. But his death opened a door that politics never could. And through that door walked thousands of young people who now belong to Jesus. So, keep praying for America, but also for the UK and here in Scotland. Keep praying for the next generation. And if you ever wonder whether modern worship and straight Bible preaching still work …
Just watch what happened on 16 November 2025 at Utah Valley University.
Just dropped
The devil took a shot. Jesus won the night. “And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overcome it.” (John 1:5 NKJV)

December 10, 2025 at 11:03 amI took, fell for the whole T.P.USA n UK Ecumenical / Maga movement. I humbly suggest you dig deeper. Not only is Charlie’s passing a total mystery but he did on fact teach heretical things and the guys you list as worshipers are also Ecumenical pro everyone who mentions the name of Jesus is their religious system or cult. Only those who accept the true Biblical Jesus and his way of Salvation ( which is not by works) can be saved. All other paths lead to Rome and Hell….not Christ and Heaven

December 10, 2025 at 2:03 pmHi Robbie,
I sure appreciate you taking the time to write. You’ve got a real zeal for the purity of the gospel, and that’s a good thing; we need more folks jealous for the truth of “not of works, lest any man should boast” (Eph. 2:9). Amen to that.
My call in this ministry is the gospel still works when we lift Jesus, preach the Word straight, and let the Holy Spirit do what only He can do. That’s exactly what happened out there in Utah Valley on November 16.
They didn’t put politics on the shelf for one night, turned the amplifiers toward heaven, sang about the blood and the cross, and Greg Laurie opened up Luke 15 and told lost kids, “Your Father’s waiting with open arms.” Over 2,100 of them came running home.
That’s not ecumenism, son; that’s Pentecost breaking out on a college campus.
Charlie Kirk? He was not a pastor; he was a young man who loved Jesus and hated abortion, and the Lord used him mightily to wake up a generation. He isn’t perfect; none of us is. I made plenty of mistakes in my life, but the Lord kept using broken vessels.
Charlie’s gone home now, and I believe he heard, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
As far as all the conspiracy talk, well… I learned a long time ago: when folks start chasing shadows about who was behind this or that, they usually stop chasing Jesus. The devil loves to get us looking at everything except the cross. Let the detectives detect; you and I keep witnessing and preaching Christ crucified, risen, and coming again.
Robbie, get your Bible, get on your knees, and ask the Lord to show you Jesus in the Word today. And if you’ve got 3 minutes, watch this little study that Chris Quintana did on the word “ecclesia.” At https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SRgh_PjQpcM
It will bless your socks off and line up exactly with what we’ve always taught: the church is a called-out people for worship, prayer, the apostles’ doctrine, and fellowship; not a political machine.
Now go love on some lost sheep, brother. The fields are still white unto harvest.
