A Win for God’s Plan
On April 16, 2025, Susan Smith and Marion Calder, the brilliant ladies behind “For Women Scotland”, were all smiles outside the UK Supreme Court. They’d just won a cracking ruling that says “woman” and “sex” mean biological females in the Equality Act 2010.
A friend of mine said, “Wait 7 years for the Supreme Court, or read the word of God in 7 minutes”
That’s a big win for keeping women’s spaces, like loos, jails, and sports, safe for women, from Glasgow to global boxing rings. But First Minister John Swinney, whose lot fought against this, wouldn’t say sorry, banging on about “good faith” (Daily Record, April 16, 2025).
This ruling backs up God’s plan, “male and female he created them” (Genesis 1:27), in a world gone a wee bit daft with “feminisation,” muddling what it means to be men and women.
Here in Scotland, where 19,970 folks identify as trans (0.44%) but 61% want single-sex spaces, we at bornagainchristians.org feel a fire to speak truth. With 7-year-old laddies wanting to wear dresses and trans ideas in schools, it’s a mess.
At bornagainchristians.org, we’re chuffed about this win for biblical womanhood and want to love those struggling, shining God’s light against all that “woke” media guff.
The Ruling: Keeping God’s Design Strong
For Women Scotland, led by Susan Smith and Marion Calder, nailed it at the Supreme Court, making sure “woman” means biological females. Susan put it plain: “Everyone knows what sex is and you can’t change it” (Reuters, April 16, 2025).
This keeps women’s spaces, like changing rooms, prisons, and sports, true to God’s design, as Psalm 139:13–14 says: “You made me special, inside and out.”
It’s a game-changer for women’s sports, keeping things fair for ladies in fencing, swimming, boxing and many more sports. Rules like FINA’s 2022 ban and World Boxing’s 2023 limits stop trans women competing with females, ‘cause they keep 10–15% more strength even after hormones.
In Scotland, places like Dundee (0.91% trans) and Glasgow (0.77%) need this clarity, and 61% of Scots agree single-sex spaces matter (2022 poll).
But John Swinney’s is not budging. He says he accepts the ruling but won’t apologise, blethering about “good faith” (Daily Record, April 16, 2025). That’s a bit like the “woke” telly and papers, BBC, PinkNews, you name it, pushing ideas that clash with For Women Scotland’s fight for truth.
This ruling’s not just a legal win; it’s a call to hold fast to God’s plan. From Edinburgh classrooms to boxing rings, we’re to stand up for what’s right, keeping women’s spaces as God intended, no matter how much the world tries to muddy the waters.
Feminisation: A Right Cultural Mess
This Supreme Court ruling takes on “feminisation”, a daft trend that’s blurring what God made clear about men and women. It’s a bigger headache than trans debates, pushing gender-neutral talk and softening what it means to be a man, with 56% of UK folk saying masculinity gets a bad rap (2023 YouGov).
Worst of all, it’s hitting our kids, with 7-year-old boys wanting to wear dresses, a trend that’s got many of us worried sick.
“Woke” media are making it worse. The BBC had the cheek to call transgender drag queens “inspirational mums” on CBeebies for wee ones in 2025, causing a right stooshie (GB News, March 4, 2025). LBC’s chats, The Guardian’s columns, Channel 4’s takes on the Cass Review, and PinkNews’ 2024 story about a trans baby all push this gender-fluid guff, making it seem normal for kids to question who they are.
John Swinney’s no help, refusing to say sorry for his trans-friendly policies, just waffling about “good faith” (Daily Record, April 16, 2025).
Susan Smith and Marion Calder, like Deborah in Judges 4, are standing tall for God’s design. Titus 2:3–6 tells us to teach our lassies and lads to live godly lives, keeping this feminisation nonsense out of schools and screens.
With 61% of Scots backing single-sex spaces, this ruling’s a chance to shout Genesis 1:27 loud and clear. At bornagainchristians.org, we’re here to help families fight this “woke” claptrap with God’s truth.
Gospel Opportunity: Truth with a Big Heart
This ruling shines a light on Scotland’s trans folk, 19,970 people, 46.1% aged 16–24, with 47.2% of non-binary ones struggling with mental health (2021–2022 GP survey).
As Christians, we’re called to love them, opening our doors to share Christ’s hope (2 Corinthians 5:17). With “woke” media confusing our kids, we’ve got to point them to Scripture: “Teach [God’s commands] to your children” (Deuteronomy 6:7).
The ruling’s a chance for bornagainchristians.org to welcome everyone, sharing God’s truth kindly, like 1 Peter 3:15 says: “Be ready to explain your hope, but do it gently.” We’re not about forcing anyone, especially with 62% of the UK backing a “conversion therapy” ban (2022 Stonewall poll). Swinney’s policies and telly guff might muddy things, but we’re here to show Christ’s love, letting the Holy Spirit sort out hearts (Romans 12:2).
Prayer’s our strength. James 5:16 says to pray hard, for trans folk, For Women Scotland’s leaders, and even Swinney to see God’s truth.
In Dundee and Glasgow, where trans ideas are all around, our churches can be a light.
This ruling’s a push to reach young folk, cutting through media nonsense with the gospel’s answer. Let’s love big and keep biblical womanhood front and center.
Conclusion: Holding Fast with Love
For Women Scotland’s Supreme Court win is a belter for biblical womanhood, standing up for God’s design against all this “feminisation” guff. Swinney’s no-sorry attitude shows we need clear truth, and Susan Smith and Marion Calder are leading the charge.
From sports to schools, this ruling backs Genesis 1:27, calling us to speak truth with love (Ephesians 4:15). We’ll teach our kids God’s way and reach out to trans folk with Christ’s hope.
At bornagainchristians.org, we’re fired up to guide families through this “woke” mess.

This ruling’s our moment to stand strong!
