Scotland has highest drug death rate in EU

Such a sad statistic that here in Scotland the number of drug related deaths last year soared to 1,187, 27% higher than the year before. Read More at the BBC Article at https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-48938509

Here in my town in Helensburgh we have areas that are deprived with low-income schemes where they have to use food banks to feed there families. These people are caught in a culture of drugs and alcohol and the addiction has a grip on them.

There used to be a Teen Challenge outreach bus in the Kirkmichael area that used to come up and reach people with counselling and I heard a few got saved. I think there is now a café BUT NOT SURE at the Churchill Square "Cosy Coffeehouse" 2nd Friday of every month 7 to 9pm.

Hope for Glasgow at https://twitter.com/hopeforglasgow have weekly meetings Every Tuesday, 7pm-9pm, at the Tron Church , 25 Bath Street, Glasgow. This is a very active ministry and many come out of addiction and find a new relationship with Jesus and not Drugs.
