Tory peer fears for disabled babies if Northern Ireland abortion plans go ahead

Lord Shinkwin has told the House of Lords that plans to widen abortion access in Northern Ireland sends the message that babies with disabilities are "better off dead".

During a debate on the Northern Ireland (Executive Formation) Bill last week, MPs controversially voted to bring abortion laws in Northern Ireland into line with the rest of the UK if devolution is not restored by October 21.

At present, the 1967 Abortion Act does not extend to Northern Ireland and terminations are only permitted in the province if a woman's life is at risk or if there is a risk of permanent and serious damage to her mental or physical health. A foetal abnormality is not considered grounds for an abortion.

Such scary statistics with having the abortion bill not in place in 2016 that 52 children with Down's syndrome were born and only one aborted. In England and Wales 618 kids were aborted which has risen from 436 in 2008. This to me is distraught news with hundreds of disabled babies killed. I am not sure the stats for here in Scotland, but I can imagine it is the same kind of figures.

I have a son who is non verbal autistic and I wouldn't dream of aborting him if we knew he was disabled. Other kids at his school have various disabilities and they are amazing young people with differant personalities and parents that love them dearly.

If you are a mother or a couple going through an abortion because your child is disabled, STOP what your doing and give your child the best life ever as you parent them.

Here in my town in Helensburgh we have areas that are deprived with low-income schemes where they have to use food banks to feed there families. These people are caught in a culture of drugs and alcohol and the addiction has a grip on them.

There used to be a Teen Challenge outreach bus in the Kirkmichael area that used to come up and reach people with counselling and I heard a few got saved. I think there is now a café BUT NOT SURE at the Churchill Square "Cosy Coffeehouse" 2nd Friday of every month 7 to 9pm.

Hope for Glasgow at have weekly meetings Every Tuesday, 7pm-9pm, at the Tron Church , 25 Bath Street, Glasgow. This is a very active ministry and many come out of addiction and find a new relationship with Jesus and not Drugs.

If you have an interest in reaching people with addictions and find them freedom in Jesus, please get in contact with me.

Happy New Year 2019

Happy New Year 2019
To read the Bible over the year is such amazing devotion to the Word of God! The Bible should be part of our day and night, it is our only communication from God see Romans 10:17 (NKJV) So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. as we hear and listen to Him as we read from it.
Try not to read the Bible for the sake of it, pray before you read that the Holy Spirit will help and teach you the things that God wants to tell you as it says in John 14:26 (NKJV)  But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.
It is a bad habit to go by feeling in that in your heart and mind you feel God is speaking to you, this is dangerous as it says in "Jeremiah 17:9 (NKJV) “The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it?" So, when we pray or talk with God go to the Bible for the answer, if you feel deeply He’s speaking to you through your heart and mind, go to the Bible and see if this is Him speaking. Remember "2 Timothy 3:16 (NKJV) All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,"
Have the Bible as part of your life, just like your mobile phone where your connected to your social media. To read the Bible it takes around 72 hours to go right through. This is easily achievable over a month but a over a year isn't as rushed. I at times have Books of the Bible on my mp3 player to listen to while I go out running or long walks, it is an amazing experience when you have God speak to you out on the mountains. Also, you can listen in your car as you drive, it can be great for your family who are with you to discuss sections that God speaking to you or teaching.
Also a website called Blue Letter Bible do various Daily Bible Reading Plans at and you can download the pdf files to print off and place it in your Bible.
Also Bible Gate Way do Bible Reading Plans at that can go into your email box.
If you want to do a family devotional with he whole family goto "Keys for Kids" this has been a blessing to us over the years.
Get ready to know God more deeply...

Is God a he or a she or neither?

Is God a he or a she or neither?
Good Morning Britain TV program here in the UK had an interesting debate asking if God was a he or she or neither.

The Bio for the program is: A Church of England Bishop, Rt Rev Rachel Treweek, has said we should avoid calling God 'he'. Devout Catholic, Ann Widdecombe, and religions and ethics commentator, Rae Duke debate whether the figure of God should be referred to as a man, a woman or neither.

Happy 70th birthday to the NHS

Happy 70th birthday to the NHS

Happy Birthday to the NHS being 70 years old today. I have been blessed over the years with my family and myself being under the care of the NHS, through minor injuries to care before death.

My mum and her brother and sisters were in nursing on the Isle of Lewis, it was a great training and career for them.

It is amazing just over 70 years how medicine has evolved and just imagine the next 30 years when it will be 100.

KJV Instant Reference Bible

KJV Instant Reference Bible

I found this youtube video on my subscriptions from The KJV Store about a Bible called the " KJV Instant Reference Bible " put together by Dr. Everette Gaddy

I think this Bible will be my goto, when I get enough to buy it and pay the shipping charges from the USA to UK.

The Bible has no reference column but the reference for the scripture has the whole reference verse placed underneath. Also archaic words are underlined and modern day words are put at the end of the verse.

Central Scotland Will Graham Celebration of Hope

Central Scotland Will Graham Celebration of Hope

Will Graham will be preaching at Falkirk Stadium, Scotland on June 15th-17th 2018 as part of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association for more information visit

It is great news this event is happening, I was looking to head down to Winter Gardens Blackpool in September to attend the Franklin Graham Festival of Hope. I felt disheartened that Scotland was missing out, but felt excited that Will Graham is coming to Falkirk.

I really pray God will move in this nation again through the preaching of God Word at these festivals and celebrations.

A year today till the UK leaves the European Union.

A year today till the UK leaves the European Union.

I have been holding our Prime Minister Theresa May in prayer as she has the difficult task of leading our country the UK in Brexit (British exit) of the European Union.

The Bible says in the book of 1 Timothy 2:1-2 (KJV) I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; 2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

Let us lift our Prime Minister and government in prayer that the transition of leaving the EU goes smoothly. She goes around the UK today appealing to those against Brexit to back her and keep our nation united.

I admire her for her strength for battling through a thankless job as a leader as the passage of scripture says she is seeking for our nation "that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty."
